TUMUSIIME DENIS is an undergraduate student at Makerere University Business School Kampala -Uganda Persuing Degree in Information management as well as co-founder of Makerere University Business school students with disabilities Association.
An alumni of Young African leader Initiative- civic leadership track with 4 years experience in Disability rights advocacy and activism.
He is a civic engagement Lead at Young African innovators hub -Nigeria, Field Agent & operations personnel at GLOBAL GIVING AFRICA-Uganda.
Tumusiime is a certified dialogues , seminar, inclusive workshops facilitator by dialogue ambassador of Egypt and Denmark stringent on responsibility, diversity, justice ,integrity and humility as his core values.
He is passionate about working with persons with disabilities and vying for their rights on grounds of equality and equity which must prevail to strike a balance in social justice and promote social transformation.
TUMUSIIME’s lifetime commitment is to achieve an equilibrium in all spheres of the society for the well-being of persons with disabilities.
Given that background, He initiated DISABILITY INCLUSION GEAR -UGANDA a non - profit organisation based in the central region of Uganda to spear his advocacy campaign
stringent on tertiary institutions to promote inclusion of students with disabilities thereby instituting policies that stimulate change of societal perceptions about persons with disabilities, providing accessible education and training opportunities to students with disabilities, increasing the scope of visibility for disability existence in the country in general and breaking the bias about persons with disabilities for social -economic co-existence.
