Dalton Odomoch currently heads the two Departments of Commercial Law and Public and Comparative Law in the Faculty of Law at Kabale University. He is also a Law Practitioner in Uganda, a distinguished academic and a behavioural change advocate. He has vast experience in Criminal Law Practice, Public International Law Practice, Military Justice Law, International Humanitarian Law and International Law of Military Operations having served as a Legal Officer and as Prosecutor in the Military Courts Martial in the Uganda Peoples Defence Forces. He has extensively studied and researched various law fields, including the law of supranational organisations, Human Rights, Refugee law, Law of Treaties, International Dispute settlement mechanisms, Justice in Context and Gender perspectives in Military Operations. He is a Social Activist, Gender Equity and parity Advocate, Civil rights law enthusiast, Peer Educator, Public International Law scholar, behavioural change Advocate, farmer, and social Entrepreneur in the hospitality industry.
Outside of a courtroom, study auditorium, or law library, his passion is animal husbandry and fruit farming, adventure trips, nature walks, culinary delights, photography, watching and playing volleyball and basketball, and watching documentaries, series, and movies.
Dalton Odomoch is an enrolled Advocate and an active member of the Uganda Law Society. He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree( LLB Hons) from Makerere University, Kampala, a Master of Laws degree (LLM) from School of Law, Makerere University, Kampala. He is a proud Alma Mater of the School of Law, University of Amsterdam, Netherlands where he obtained a Master of Laws Degree (LLM-Hons) in Public International and European Law. He is a graduate of the prestigious Law Development Centre, Kampala, Uganda, holding the much-coveted Diploma in Legal Practice (Bar Course Program).
