Sheillah holds a biomedical engineering degree from Makerere University and a certificate in managing Innovation for Global Health from Karolinska Institutet. She is the Managing Director at Shishi International, a start-up advancing medical device manufacturing in Uganda, supported by multiple organizations including the United States Development Fund and Makerere University Biomedical Research Centre. A passionate advocate for health technology in low-resource settings, Sheillah is an MIT bio-entrepreneurship fellow, a recipient of the Commonwealth Professional Award, and a mentor for women in science and enterprise.
