My name is Ocen Emmanuel and I am a Ugandan National, with educational training in the fields of Agriculture and Natural resource management at Makerere University Kampala-Uganda and University of Twente-Netherlands. With 12 years robust economic and agribusiness development program experience and unrivalled expertise in partnerships brokering and management, and market systems development. I have dedicated myself to the cause of promoting socio economic development, especially among the smallholder farmers, youth and women. Over the past decade, my career path has led me to diverse roles in agribusiness and private sector development projects both within Uganda, Tanzania and South Sudan. I had the privilege working with International Organizations such as, MercyCorps, Cooperative League of United States of America (NCBA/CLUSA), International Fertilizer Development Centre (IFDC), Palladium, AVSI Foundation, DAI Global and currently at Spark as Technical and Operation lead on an inclusive market system development project. What sets me apart is my unwavering passion for private sector-led socioeconomic interventions. I enjoy working closely with private sector stakeholders, devising strategies to reach non-consumers and thereby catalyse meaningful socioeconomic transformation.
