Fiona Komugisha Esther is a co-founder for Imagine Her, a non-profit working to provide young women, girls, and youth with robust innovation skills and essential resources to create sustainable social ventures and achieve economic independence. Fiona is also a Director of Programs and Implementation for Project Hello World a UK-based non-profit focusing on bridging the digital divide in Uganda through building digital Hello Hubs that promote digital education, connectivity and information for communities where she has worked with communities across Uganda to build 84 Digital Hubs across the regions, Scaled the digital Hubs in Nigeria and Burundi . She has 8 years of experience in the community development sector especially focusing on women empowerment, reproductive health, and bridging the digital divide. Fiona holds a Bachelor in Social Science from Kyambogo University where she focused on social work and its role in transforming communities. She is YALI East Africa Regional Center Alumnus, Ezer season 7 Alumnus( Evolving Woman) , New Generation Mentorship Alumi KYUSA, Currently pursuing Roxbourg Humanitarian MBA with a key focus on building a mentorship and leadership development program for young women. Fiona is strongly guided by the principle that true community empowerment is centered on the individual experiencing the problem as the alternate principal designer of the solution. Under Fiona’s leadership, she leads a team of 15 full-time staff and 85 community support officers and is passionate about empowering Women and Girls.
