Twegyesiibwe Goret is a young female Ugandan. She holds a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, specializing in International Relations and minoring in Gender Studies. She is very passionate about Women Empowerment, Gender Equality, Peace and Security and community transformation. She is a Co-founder and programmes officer at Women Empowerment Institute, a member of Sisters without boarders as a Violent Extremism practitioner and represents her CBO at Council of Representatives in the Civil Society Coalition Against Violent Extremism (CiSCAVE) of the IGAD region. Goret is currently a Senior Researcher with Tango Consult Ltd, a consultancy firm whose core business is Research, Advocacy and M&E. Twegyesiibwe is also an inducted member of FemWise-Africa, the African Union network of women in Conflict Prevention and Mediation, and the assistant secretary for ECONet, a network of CSOs in CPMR.
